Y2K Vintage Shop Fit-Out, Brick Lane
The brief
Create a distinctive retail space that would set Y2K Vintage apart from its neighbours and establish its name among the Brick Lane stores. The look was to be built from detailed carpentry, custom merchandise displays and bespoke feature walls.
What we did
We delivered a full bespoke shopfit in-house: carpentry and joinery, fabrication and installation of retail fixtures, point-of-sale joinery, mirror installation, lighting features, changing-room construction and bespoke feature elements throughout.
The structure was built in traditional MDF and softwood, finished with varnished plywood panelling and full-length mirrors. Character came from a set of vintage feature pieces, including a fabric-topped table, a casino roulette wheel and a restored cigarette dispenser.
Challenges
First-fix contractor delays compressed the programme. We resequenced the works to absorb the lost time and still handed over in line with the client's marketing launch.
The result
Delivered on time and on budget. The standout is the bespoke interior joinery, which brought the concept to life and gave the space the right feel.
